The bulk of the series is composed of telegrams exchanged with the NLRB in Washington, D. C. Prominently represented is correspondence related to the agricultural labor disputes in the Imperial Valley in 1934, a miners' strike at Phelps Dodge's mines in Arizona, the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU) strike in Los Angeles in 1933, and the 1934 west coast longshoremen's strike.
